Jordan Lyn: A Warning To Lovers
March 15 - 31, 2019
- Opening Reception: Friday, March 15th from 6-10pm
Next Gallery is pleased to present Jordan Lyn’s, A Warning To Lovers. A show that revolves around the idea of self reflection during relationships, the emotions felt during and after a romantic interest ends.
"My work for this show revolves around the idea of self reflection during relationships, the emotions felt during and after a romantic interest ends. This theme will show what it feels like to be at an age where you begin to experience what a real, adult relationship is like, an understanding that in order to make someone a permanent fixture you must be willing to engage in a give and take between the two of you.As the audience works its way through the show, my hope is for them to lose themselves in their own stories of love, loss, pain, and pleasure. I am not just using my usual craft of embroidery, but diving back into the realm of painting. This exhibition will also contain an interactive piece for the audience to write and draw their own emotions relating to the theme."
